A Christmas To Remember QP FREEBIE

This will be my last time posting before Christmas so I wanted to give you one more present from me. I wish all of you a very merry Christmas and I hope you get to spend time with your loved ones and make this a Christmas to remember! God bless each of you near and far.

You can find it by clicking HERE.
I made this layout of my sister, her husband, my niece Nicole, and their cat named "Sister". What a precious Christmas memory! Nicole was big into 101 Dalmations at the time and you can bearly make them out on her vest. It had to have been taken somewhere around 15 years ago. How I wish we still had Nicole here to celebrate Christmas with us. But our memories of her are still very near and dear.

Internet Problems & Christmas Around The World

I am sorry to say that my internet hook-up is having some real issues. This is the first time I have been able to get on internet all week and I feel like I'm going crazy. I got hit with a Trojan horse virus and I have tried so many different things to get it up and going. Don't know what I did to get here now but I will keep working until it goes kaput again. I know that there are a lot of Christmas Around The World fans wanting to collect all the parts to this mega kit from all the designers. I am going to try to upload my part to 4-shared after I get done here. If for some reason you can't download it yet, please try again later. I am off work tomorrow, Friday the 12th, and will try to talk it through with tech support so I can be fully functioning. Wish me luck and I will talk with you again as soon as I can. Arghhhhh! I tried to add the pics of my part of the kit and it won't let me. It says that Internet Explorer is not able to display the page! I have had to reboot my computer 3 times now just to be able to leave this message. I will post it now before I get hijacked again.

My Christmas Card to You and a Freebie QP

I am getting in the holiday spirit now and have designed a Christmas Card QP freebie for anyone who wants to grab it. I am going to participate as a designer in the "Christmas Around The World" blog train. I remember how excited I was last year to collect all the freebies from each of the designers. The designers all use the same color scheme and after the kits are collected, they make one awesome MEGA kit! The Christmas Around The World blog is scheduled to begin next Friday, December 12th. I will give you all the details so you won't miss out.

You can pick up the freebie here.
And here is my Christmas card to you! I hope that this holiday season finds each of you happy and healthy. So much has happened in this past year for me personally. Looking back and reflecting on it makes me appreciate the love of my family, friendships (new and old), my health, and that I have a job. I know not everyone has been that fortunate and it may have not been a good year for everyone, but I pray that this holiday season gives each of you a chance to reflect on the blessings that you DO have.
Hugs from me! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Frosty Wonderland Kit Freebie

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We are now launched into the official Christmas season as was evident by the shoppers out on "Black Friday". I know I was a little worried what the sales might be like since this is the first holiday season I worked in cosmetics. My counter's sales almost doubled over what was sold last year. That was a shock! But, I guess if the ladies can't afford a new purse or pair of shoes, they will spend money on a new lipstick. That same day I had one of my ladies quit and a couple of others were arguing over whether one of them stole a sale from the other. Oh my, it was enough to make my head spin! The two that were arguing talked it out and seem to be getting along now. I love the Christmas season, but I hate what the pressure does to ordinarily nice people, (shoppers and salesclerks). So, needless to say, I have been dealing with my own stress and I am getting this kit out to you a little later than I wanted to. I loved working with this kit and I hope you all enjoy it! Take a deep breath and let your holiday stress go. Remember to give people your smile, you never know what they are going through and your smile just might be just the thing they need. Besides it's FREE just like this kit! Download "Frosty Wonderland" HERE.

If you make some layouts with the kit please send them to me and I will post them here so everyone can see YOUR creative talent! I personally can't wait to see them!

Having a Difficult Week!

Sorry I haven't checked in for awhile. Work has been hectic, my husband home for a week (he would rather I spend time with him after I get off work than on the, and my Great Uncle, Delton, passed away this morning from complications due to a massive heart attack. I have also come down with a sore throat today and am hoping it doesn't get me down.

My oldest daughter and her husband are spending their 10th anniversary in Vail, Colorado in a little villa. She was so excited when I chatted with her a little while ago. She said it is gorgeous and I reminded her to take lots of pics for me to scrap. Their kids (Kendra,9 and Myles, 6) are spending tonight with my pregnant daughter and her husband and I guess she is having a difficult time getting them to bed. LOL! Good practice for her.

The "Frosty Wonderland" QP just hit 600 downloads! Wow! I guess you like it! I know I said I wanted 50 comments and I would give you the kit, but that was before 4shared started requiring email addresses from commentors. I have 41 comments, so I am going to give you the kit just as soon as I can. You can call it a Thanksgiving present from me because it will probably be Thanksgiving Day before I can get it uploaded and on here. But I will have it available to you soon. Thanks for all those wonderful comments, by the way! It sure is good to hear from you.

I hope all of you get to spend some wonderful memorable time with your families for Thanksgiving!

Frosty Dreamland and a QP Freebie!

I had a nice long weekend, the first one in a couple of months, so I had some time to work on a new kit that I have called "Frosty Wonderland". I made a QP freebie for you that you can download below. I really like this one with it's pretty blue color and all the snowflakes. The weather here in Missouri has changed to a wintry feel and snow should be falling anytime soon. It has put me in the mood for making this wintry kit. My husband, George, helped alot with this kit. He gave me lots of ideas of what I should include in it; the sled, snowballs, frame, and helped with figuring out the name for the kit. So thank you, dear! He is really starting to get behind me now with designing kits. I think it still drives him crazy that I spend so much time at the computer but he can actually see that this is my passion and I think he is one of my biggest fans now! He was asking me earlier this evening after I finished the kit what it would take for me to start selling my work. I'm not ready to sell yet, so if you want this kit...please leave comments on this freebie and if I get.......ummmm....let's say,50 comments, I will put the whole kit up for free! Considering that almost 300 downloaded the "Vintage Victorian Baby" quick pages it shouldn't be too hard for you!!

I inserted a picture of my new grandson, Nickoli, into this QP.

The FREEBIE QP has no title on it or picture. You can download it HERE! I hope you enjoy it and remember...if I get 50 comments on this QP, you get the kit FREE! And everything in the kit is not shown on the QP!!!

Two Layouts of My New Grandson and Layout by Amy

Here are a couple of layouts I have made of my new grandson, Nickoli. I have been sick all day today and had to miss work. Unfortunately I didn't even feel like getting on the computer until now (9:30 pm). All I was able to do was sleep off and on and moan. Hopefully I can get back on track. I hate being sick, I just have too much to do and that I want to get done. I have been working on making new curtains for my living room. I have one more left to make, so hopefully I can get it finished tomorrow.

This next layout was made by Amy. This picture is her and her twin sister in 1963. I love the poem on the tag! Thanks Amy for this precious layout. Amy is a scrapbooker over on the Scrapbook Flair site that I belong to, and if you click on the pic of her layout it will take you to her site there. If you have not joined a site yet, I would recommend that you start there. The scrappers at Scrapbook flair are very nice and friendly and offer lots of encouragement. There are numerous challenges that will give you ideas and give you the opportunity to display your treasured layouts. I will try to put a freebie up for you tomorrow.

More Layouts from "Vintage Victorian Baby" kit

This first layout was made by Karla who works in a newborn ICU. She makes name plaques for each of God's precious little ones in her care. Karla, you are a jewel and those babies and their families are so blessed to have you and your obvious love. These next two layouts were made by Micky. This first one she has called "Our Bundle of Joy". I just love the little guy and how she placed the pic, and how the corner of the blanket is turned down so we can catch a look at his adorable face!
This next layout is called "Our Little Sweetheart". And sweet it is! I love the picture frame and the teddy bear on the shelf. This is an awesome layout for such a little cutie-pie.

Two More Layouts from Christine

I just checked my email and Christine sent me 2 more layouts she made. She had an idea to use the kit for something other than babies in "Aunt Carrie's Wedding". The ribbon on the left side of the layout is actually a strip of plaid paper. In "Luke's Sleeping" she did a great extraction of baby Luke and then laid him on top of the blanket. I also liked the way she used the letters getting smaller to spell out Shhhh and doubling up the trim for that little extra oomph! Great layouts Christine and THANKS! Does anyone else have some ideas they would like to share? I would love to post them here!

And if you make a layout for me that I can post here on my blog using any of the "Vintage Victorian Baby" kit freebies I will have a SPECIAL gift for you! Alpha Freebies and Another New Grandbaby!!!

I am so excited to be able to finally share with you that my daughter, Traci, and her husband, Josh, have announced that she is pregnant! This baby will be due just 3 days after my birthday in June. That will bring us up to 6 grandkids; three of them in 9 months! My family is growing like CRAZY!!! Woo Hoo!!!! Good thing this baby kit is so BIG! With 3 new babies to scrap I will be able to use all of it and every page should look unique! So to celebrate her announcement I am giving you the alphas I made to go with the "Vintage Victorian Baby" kit. These have a translucent edge on them that allow whatever paper you use to show through. ENJOY!

Layouts by YOU! Thanks!

Here are some layouts created by some of you with my "Vintage Victorian Baby" kit. These are the cutest sweetest baby pics!
Here is a layout created by Christine. Isn't little Jessica precious! Thanks Christine! This turned out beautiful! These next 2 layouts were made by Micky. I love how she made these coordinate by using the eyelet trim around the edges. These babies look so contented! Thanks Micky, these are awesome!

Iris scrapped this next layout. I love how she made the tag into a frame for the name plaque. It looks so delicate too by using the black and white pics of this little cutie-pie. Terrific layout, Iris! Thanks so much for sharing this.

Remembering Nicole

Today is the one and a half year anniversary of my niece, Nicole, joining Jesus in Heaven. So hard to believe that it has been this long, as the memories and pain of her absence are still fresh as if it was just yesterday. I purchased Valerie Hurly's Plumbago kit and made the QP for a Quick Page Exchange at It seemed just perfect for scrapping Nicole.
I have also re-uploaded the link for the pearl bracelet freebie. Thanks Christina for your beautiful comment and alerting me that the link wasn't working. As long as I have storage space on my 4-shared account I will leave the freebies up. Please let me know if any of you encounter problems so I can fix it for you.

Vintage Victorian Baby Kit Is Now DONE and a Freebie too!!!

Oh my goodness! You want to hear a good one! This kit was supposed to be called "Vintage Baby" but I made all the previews say "Victorian Baby". I am definitely having a senior moment. It would be too much to go back and redo all those previews so I am going to call it "Vintage Victorian Baby". LOL!!! I finally got it done!!! This has been an intense labor-of-love for me because of my brand new granddaughter and now a new grandson too! Woo Hoo!! Babies are raining down from heaven! Here are the previews for this GIGANTIC MEGA KIT!
Now please allow me to be a gushing grandma! Here is a picture of my new grandson, Nickoli Edward, born October 5th! Lots of grandchildren to scrap pages for now! Nickoli makes #5!!!
Isn't he just adorable!!!
And how about a freebie!!! I am going to put a condition on this freebie though. Being new to designing I NEED some feedback in the way of comments so I know whether to keep them coming or just give up. LOL! I would eventually like to sell in a store when I am good enough. The Quick Pages were downloaded 219 times at the last count but I only received 11 comments (thank you to those 11 wonderfully kind people). I felt like throwing in the towel. :(
I do enjoy making these for my own pics and layouts, but I don't really need to offer them as freebies unless I know that this is something you truly appreciate. It doesn't take long to leave a simple thank you or word of encouragement as you download, as it took MANY hours for me to make them. Well, enough preaching...I will have to see if this works. So without further is the link to a freebie. A pair of silk embroidered booties. I love these! Let me know what YOU think

Some More Layouts of Rilyn

Here are some more layouts of Rilyn! She is only a week old and I already have 6 layouts done for her. A new grandbaby is a good inspiration for churning out the layouts. LOL! The first song that plays when you click onto my blog is a song that I sang to my son Weston as a lullaby when he was just a baby. My how the time flies! Just ask him and he will tell you that it is my favorite song. I dedicate it to my children and now my grandchildren too! In my heart they will always be, "Forever Young".

I made these quick pages for DigiSkrapNMomma using her "Seeds of Summer" kit several months ago and had never used them yet. I received these pics of Rilyn in that adorable hat and dress and then I knew instantly that they belonged together!

Look for DigiSkrapNMomma's blog in the right sidebar. If you are interested in purchasing this kit, she sells exclusively at Divine Digital. It's even on sale right now for only $2!!! I just love the gorgeous rich colors of this kit!

And this is another layout made with my "Victorian Baby" kit.

New Granddaughter is here!

And here is the first family portrait of Daniel and Andrea with Rilyn! Congratulations Daniel and Andrea, you two made a gorgeous little girl together and now the fun of watching her grow begins! She is a blessed addition to our family!!!

New Granddaughter

Our new granddaughter, Rilyn Marie, was born this past Tuesday morning! She is so beautiful and TINY! My smallest baby weighed in at 7lbs 12oz and here she is at only 6lbs 5oz. So now I finally get to put my new kit "Victorian Baby" to use. I have used 2 of the Quick Pages that I gave to you as freebies in my previous posts. I am sure that you will be seeing many more layouts of this darling, precious, beautiful baby!!!

I am not blogging very often right now as I am staying SUPER busy at work. I am working a lot of overtime and most likely will be until the end of October. I will be handing out pieces of this kit to you as my free-time will allow.

Here is a freebie for you! This is the pearl bracelet embellishment that I have used in some of the quick pages. It is for PERSONAL USE ONLY! I just love this and I hope you enjoy it!! Click here to download it.
