"Timeless Beauty" FREEBIE Kit Is Ready To Grab / And $5 Down The Toilet Story!

I have finished packaging up "Timeless Beauty" and have it ready for you! I thought this would work great for those Mother's Day layouts you'll be wanting to make. The previews do NOT coincide with the downloads. I have 4 previews but I have 5 downloads for you. I needed to break the papers into four downloads to keep the file size smaller and easier for you to download. So make sure you get them all. The links to download are under the preview pictures. I hope you enjoy this kit and I already have an idea for my next one.

I had a wonderful time this past weekend with two of my grandchildren. This is the first time that they have been allowed to come stay with me for 3 days (200 miles from home). Kendra is 10 and Myles is 6. It rained off and on the whole time they were here but we still managed to get in a picnic at the park in between showers, watched movies, played games, stayed up late (shh...don't tell their Mom...lol). Kendra loved learning my Adobe Photoshop Elements. Just a few quick lessons and she was in scrapbook heaven. She managed to make 4 layouts in the time she was here. We also spent 5 hours at Incredible Pizza. For those who aren't familiar with this fun place they have indoor mini-golf, go-karts (Myles and I came in 1st place and he got a ribbon), inflatable jumping play area, and all kinds of games that they won tickets to turn in for prizes. And lets not forget the big buffet! We started out with something to eat, played, went back to buffet for dessert, played, and ended with more food!! There was only one mishap while we were there. You put money on a card that you scan when you play these games. During a restroom break (I was in charge of holding the cards) Myles' card fell in the toilet. Seeing as how it still had $5 left on it I grabbed for it. But these being self-flushing toilets, it whisked it away before I could fish it out! Ewwww! So I literally flushed $5 down the drain. Oh well, I got him another card with $5 on it. Oh the things we do for love (and $5)! LOL!!

New Kit Name "Timeless Beauty" and Another QP FREEBIE

I have decided on the name for my newest kit. Thanks to Ruby's suggestion it will be called "Timeless Beauty". I want to thank each of you who left me a message about Nicole. I appreciate those comments so much. Thanks for reaching out to me. HUGS from me back to you!

I'm sending birthday wishes to my oldest daughter, Jennifer, who just turned 28. She is such a beautiful young woman and doing an amazing job of raising two of my beautiful grandchildren.

I just finished working 11 days in a row and glad to have a chance to relax and work on my scrapbooking. Of course the house needed a good cleaning....so I did some of that, my husband, George, and I got the fence-line in the back of the house cleaned up, planted some tomatoes, we took our dog Roxy to the park and had a picnic lunch. The weather has been perfect and it has been good for me.

Remembering Nicole (2 year Anniversary) & A FREEBIE QP

This is a post that is so hard to do because it marks the day two years ago that we lost my precious niece, Nicole Allen, in an accident caused by a drunk driver. If you read my profile you will see that she is my reason for scrapbooking. It was so senseless that she had to die at 21 years of age because someone thought they had the right to drive drunk. My heart is so heavy, it still feels like it just happened. I hope that everyone thinks twice or three times or more before they EVER get under the wheel of a vehicle under the influence. If you think it won't happen to you, you better think again. It's FOREVER that lives are changed! And for those of you who have also lost a loved one in the same way, my love and prayers go out to you. Sorry this is such a downer for those who just wanted to come and pick up a freebie QP but it is something that weighs heavy on my heart. Nicole's favorite colors were pink and black so I haved used my new (as of yet un-named) kit to make this tribute page for her. God bless you all!

The weather has been beautiful this week and definitely feels like spring is here. Last week we had to take shelter in the mall I work at because of a tornado warning. They are calling for more storms this weekend. You know the saying...April Showers Bring May Flowers!

Pink Window QP and a NEW Kit To Name

For those of us living in the United States, today is the deadline for filing our taxes for last year. So I thought it would be an appropriate time to get something for nothing from me. I know I'm not the only one that waited till today to pay our government what they think I owe them. So to help ease the pain of forking over our hard-earned money I thought I'd send a freebie your way.

Here is a preview of my next kit that I am working on. I am hoping that you can help me name this kit since you did such a good job on the last one. I used a soft pink, black and gray color palette for this one. I have included antiques, dried flowers, swirls, lace, embroidery, and a special element that I thought was unique...the window frame from an old house. If you have some ideas please post them in the comments at the end of this post or in my shoutbox in the right-hand margin. I am looking forward to seeing what you clever people come up with. I have 3 QP's already made and I will be posting them for you while I am finishing up this kit and wait for your suggestions.

Hippity Hoppity Bunny Parade FREEBIE Kit is HERE!

My trip north for my granddaughter's birthday turned out well. I had to fight a hard rain for the 4 hour drive. As I was driving I kept wondering when I was going to hit the freezing rain and snow. It turned out that I made it all the way with no freezing precipitation. When I got there I went into Walgreen's to get her birthday card. I was only in there 10 minutes and when I came out the sleet had just started. We went to the YMCA where she had a gymnastics birthday party. They had all the equipment out; trampoline, balance beams, uneven parallel bars, and tumbling mats around the whole gymnasium. They also played Twister, Hula Hoops, and some other games too. The YMCA provided all the decorations, cake, party favors, balloons, and 3 gymnastic coaches too. It was very inexpensive and the kids had SO much fun! Of course, I was there as the "official" photographer. I took something like 200 pics because catching those action shots is very difficult but I did manage to get a few. Grandpa and I bought her the new leotard she wanted so bad! I think she would like to be on the "Flying Ariels" team, which is the Y's traveling competition team. She just started gymnastics 6 months ago and is taking to it like a fish does to water. I can't wait to scrapbook some of these pics. When we came out of the YMCA there was about 3-4 inches of sleet. Overnight we got snow on top of that. However, by the time I left this afternoon, the streets were cleared, the sun was out, and it was melting fast. A beautiful sunny day in the 50's was all I saw on the way home! We have a saying here in Missouri, "If you don't like the weather, stick around it'll change!"

I am heading north tomorrow morning for my oldest granddaughter's birthday. Kendra will be 10 years old on Sunday. The crazy weather we are having now is going to try to give me problems driving the 4 hours to get there. They are predicting 6-9 inches of snow for Kansas City which is only 90 miles from where I am going. So I wouldn't mind having your pray for a safe trip for me. I can't miss her birthday, and it will be another month before I have a weekend off.

I have to share what happened last night. I came home from work with plans on finishing the kit previews and uploading to 4-shared. I walked in the door and my husband was sitting on the couch waiting for me dressed in a suit and tie. Now keep in mind he is a truck driver and I only see him in a suit and tie for weddings and funerals. The last time was approximately a year and a half ago. I threw my purse down on the floor and my heart was beating fast. I looked at him dumbfounded and had all kinds of horrible things going through my head. As soon as I found my voice I asked him, "What's going on? What happened? Oh no! What?" He started grinning then and said, "What? Can't a man dress up and take his wife to dinner and a movie?" After I recovered I told him how wonderful looked and that he sure cleans up well! ROTFLMAO! I automatically assumed it couldn't be good news when I saw him! Poor guy! But I changed real quick into a jacket and spiffed up my makeup (before he got uncomfortable and changed his mind). He took me to Red Lobster where I pigged out on the Ultimate Feast. For those of you who don't know, the "Feast" includes Snow King Crab legs, Rock Lobster tail, Shrimp Scampi, and breaded fried shrimp! Of course you can't forget the salad, baked potato, and those yummy biscuits that came with it. Then we went to see a new movie that is out. Now this movie is not something I would usually go for (lots of blood, guts, and gore) but it came with these COOL 3-D glasses. If you have watched the previews that are showing on TV right now you probably know that I am talking about "My Bloody Valentine". LOL! Oh my goodness! But it was really cool to see a 3D movie! There were scenes where it looked like the actor was spitting into the audience, broken tree branch and glass flying at you, a bloody hand dripping blood on the audience, fire, bullets, and so much more!!! Got to tell you, I really enjoyed it! If it wasn't for the 3D though I would never have gone as I am definitely a chick flick, drama or comedy kind of movie watcher. Has anyone else seen this movie yet? So I REALLY had a wonderful date night with my man. We really need to do this more often! Especially so I don't have a heart attack when I see him all dressed up! ROTFL!!! Oh my goodness!!!! LOL!

Well...I finally managed to finish my newest kit "Paisley Passion". I hope it was worth the wait! This was really fun to work on and I hope you enjoy it! Let me know what you think! Wow! Can you believe the holidays are finally over? Don't get me wrong, Christmas is my favorite holiday, but when retailer's have decorations up right after Halloween along with all of the ensuing holiday madness, it takes a lot of the specialness out of "THE" day. I am ready to get back to the "everyday" existence for awhile.

It was a busy Christmas for us. We attended 5 get-togethers in 3 days. We were able to see all the grandchildren and our families on both sides. Of course we also had a 4 hour trip to get up to north Missouri and 4 hours back home. We left on Christmas Eve after I got off work and returned home the evening of the 26th. Just in time for me to get to bed so I could go to work again! It was crazy but it sure was nice to be able to see ALL of our family for Christmas.

Now it's a brand new year and I have noticed that I have put on some extra pounds over the past few months. The "Fat Fairy" waved her magic wand and...POOF!...I am fluffy! I am going to try to make an honest effort to lose some of that. I am going to eat sensibly and lose a few pounds before I start trying to exercise. Because these "ole" bones of mine are creaking and I think they might revolt if I try to exert a lot of pressure on them. I know it would probably help to lose weight faster if I could do both but....I'll let you know if it works.

I have been working on some new stuff for you! I know it has been awhile since I have shared a freebie with you, so I hope you will forgive me. Here is a sneak preview of what I am working on. Check it out! I have learned how to do page curls! I think they are so cool!!! I think I'm going to call it "Paisley Passion". I am going to try to make some elements that will also tie it in to Valentine's Day. Some hearts, etc. Do you have any special requests for elements? I made this layout of my sister, her husband, my niece Nicole, and their cat named "Sister". What a precious Christmas memory! Nicole was big into 101 Dalmations at the time and you can bearly make them out on her vest. It had to have been taken somewhere around 15 years ago. How I wish we still had Nicole here to celebrate Christmas with us. But our memories of her are still very near and dear.

Internet Problems & Christmas Around The World

I am sorry to say that my internet hook-up is having some real issues. This is the first time I have been able to get on internet all week and I feel like I'm going crazy. I got hit with a Trojan horse virus and I have tried so many different things to get it up and going. Don't know what I did to get here now but I will keep working until it goes kaput again. I know that there are a lot of Christmas Around The World fans wanting to collect all the parts to this mega kit from all the designers. I am going to try to upload my part to 4-shared after I get done here. If for some reason you can't download it yet, please try again later. I am off work tomorrow, Friday the 12th, and will try to talk it through with tech support so I can be fully functioning. Wish me luck and I will talk with you again as soon as I can. Arghhhhh! I tried to add the pics of my part of the kit and it won't let me. It says that Internet Explorer is not able to display the page! Frosty Wonderland Kit Freebie

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We are now launched into the official Christmas season as was evident by the shoppers out on "Black Friday". I know I was a little worried what the sales might be like since this is the first holiday season I worked in cosmetics. My counter's sales almost doubled over what was sold last year. That was a shock! But, I guess if the ladies can't afford a new purse or pair of shoes, they will spend money on a new lipstick. That same day I had one of my ladies quit and a couple of others were arguing over whether one of them stole a sale from the other. Oh my, it was enough to make my head spin! The two that were arguing talked it out and seem to be getting along now. I love the Christmas season, but I hate what the pressure does to ordinarily nice people, (shoppers and salesclerks). So, needless to say, I have been dealing with my own stress and I am getting this kit out to you a little later than I wanted to. I loved working with this kit and I hope you all enjoy it! Take a deep breath and let your holiday stress go. Remember to give people your smile, you never know what they are going through and your smile just might be just the thing they need. Having a Difficult Week!

Sorry I haven't checked in for awhile. Work has been hectic, my husband home for a week (he would rather I spend time with him after I get off work than on the computer..lol), and my Great Uncle, Delton, passed away this morning from complications due to a massive heart attack. I have also come down with a sore throat today and am hoping it doesn't get me down.

My oldest daughter and her husband are spending their 10th anniversary in Vail, Colorado in a little villa. She was so excited when I chatted with her a little while ago. She said it is gorgeous and I reminded her to take lots of pics for me to scrap. Their kids (Kendra,9 and Myles, 6) are spending tonight with my pregnant daughter and her husband and I guess she is having a difficult time getting them to bed. LOL! Good practice for her.

The "Frosty Wonderland" QP just hit 600 downloads! Wow! I guess you like it! I know I said I wanted 50 comments and I would give you the kit, but that was before 4shared started requiring email addresses from commentors. I have 41 comments, so I am going to give you the kit just as soon as I can. You can call it a Thanksgiving present from me because it will probably be Thanksgiving Day before I can get it uploaded and on here. But I will have it available to you soon. Frosty Dreamland and a QP Freebie!

I had a nice long weekend, the first one in a couple of months, so I had some time to work on a new kit that I have called "Frosty Wonderland". I made a QP freebie for you that you can download below. I really like this one with it's pretty blue color and all the snowflakes. The weather here in Missouri has changed to a wintry feel and snow should be falling anytime soon. It has put me in the mood for making this wintry kit. My husband, George, helped alot with this kit. He gave me lots of ideas of what I should include in it; the sled, snowballs, frame, and helped with figuring out the name for the kit. So thank you, dear! He is really starting to get behind me now with designing kits. I think it still drives him crazy that I spend so much time at the computer but he can actually see that this is my passion and I think he is one of my biggest fans now! Here are a couple of layouts I have made of my new grandson, Nickoli. I have been sick all day today and had to miss work. Unfortunately I didn't even feel like getting on the computer until now (9:30 pm). All I was able to do was sleep off and on and moan. Hopefully I can get back on track. I hate being sick, I just have too much to do and that I want to get done. I have been working on making new curtains for my living room. I have one more left to make, so hopefully I can get it finished tomorrow.

This next layout was made by Amy. This picture is her and her twin sister in 1963. I love the poem on the tag! Thanks Amy for this precious layout. Amy is a scrapbooker over on the Scrapbook Flair site that I belong to, and if you click on the pic of her layout it will take you to her site there. If you have not joined a site yet, I would recommend that you start there. The scrappers at Scrapbook flair are very nice and friendly and offer lots of encouragement. This first layout was made by Karla who works in a newborn ICU. She makes name plaques for each of God's precious little ones in her care. Karla, you are a jewel and those babies and their families are so blessed to have you and your obvious love. These next two layouts were made by Micky. This first one she has called "Our Bundle of Joy". I just love the little guy and how she placed the pic, and how the corner of the blanket is turned down so we can catch a look at his adorable face!

This next layout is called "Our Little Sweetheart". And sweet it is! I love the picture frame and the teddy bear on the shelf. This is an awesome layout for such a little cutie-pie.

I just checked my email and Christine sent me 2 more layouts she made. She had an idea to use the kit for something other than babies in "Aunt Carrie's Wedding". The ribbon on the left side of the layout is actually a strip of plaid paper. In "Luke's Sleeping" she did a great extraction of baby Luke and then laid him on top of the blanket. I also liked the way she used the letters getting smaller to spell out Shhhh and doubling up the trim for that little extra oomph! Great layouts Christine and THANKS! Remembering Nicole

Today is the one and a half year anniversary of my niece, Nicole, joining Jesus in Heaven. So hard to believe that it has been this long, as the memories and pain of her absence are still fresh as if it was just yesterday. Vintage Victorian Baby Kit Is Now DONE and a Freebie too!!!

Oh my goodness! You want to hear a good one! This kit was supposed to be called "Vintage Baby" but I made all the previews say "Victorian Baby". I am definitely having a senior moment. It would be too much to go back and redo all those previews so I am going to call it "Vintage Victorian Baby". LOL!!! I finally got it done!!! This has been an intense labor-of-love for me because of my brand new granddaughter and now a new grandson too! Woo Hoo!! Babies are raining down from heaven! Here are the previews for this GIGANTIC MEGA KIT!

Now please allow me to be a gushing grandma! Here is a picture of my new grandson, Nickoli Edward, born October 5th! Lots of grandchildren to scrap pages for now! Nickoli makes #5!!!

Here are some more layouts of Rilyn! She is only a week old and I already have 6 layouts done for her. A new grandbaby is a good inspiration for churning out the layouts. LOL! The first song that plays when you click onto my blog is a song that I sang to my son Weston as a lullaby when he was just a baby. My how the time flies! Just ask him and he will tell you that it is my favorite song. I dedicate it to my children and now my grandchildren too! In my heart they will always be, "Forever Young".

Our new granddaughter, Rilyn Marie, was born this past Tuesday morning! She is so beautiful and TINY! My smallest baby weighed in at 7lbs 12oz and here she is at only 6lbs 5oz. So now I finally get to put my new kit "Victorian Baby" to use. I have used 2 of the Quick Pages that I gave to you as freebies in my previous posts. I am sure that you will be seeing many more layouts of this darling, precious, beautiful baby!!!

I am not blogging very often right now as I am staying SUPER busy at work. I am working a lot of overtime and most likely will be until the end of October. I will be handing out pieces of this kit to you as my free-time will allow.

Has It Been 2 Months Since I Last Blogged?!!!!

Wow! What a busy summer I had! So much has happened since I last blogged.

I received a promotion at work! I no longer sell men's clothing. I am now the Counter Manager for Lancome Cosmetics (still at Dillard's). And I am L-O-V-I-N-G this job!!! I'm staying VERY busy however. I began in July amid a flurry of activity; getting ready for an event where National Makeup Artist, Robert Cook, would be coming to our store with his Pro-Team of 10 to do makeover magic on our customers who booked appointments. 1 week into my new position and they were there. Talk about trial by fire! It was amazing but VERY hectic. I have been attending trainings held in St. Louis on our new product and promotions for this fall and holiday time, a Counter Manager's meeting, and I will attend another training for new hires next month.

Went to the Lake of the Ozarks with my sister and my 2 daughter's for a Girls Weekend! We had never done anything like this before. But we decided that no matter what, come what may, nothing would stop us from having a weekend together without husbands or kids. It gave us a chance to reconnect. It seems like when there are family gatherings (which I LOVE) there are so many people talking, grandkids wanting attention, etc. that I don't get to spend a lot of quality time with my girls anymore. So this was such a meaningful weekend for me! My sister got us gift bags with Bath & Body Works scented lotion, shower gel, and body spray, and matching pajamas for each of us! How cool was that! There was shopping at the outlet mall, a movie, Italian Restaurant, massages, swimming, condo on the lake (oh yeah), Barbecue Restaurant, makeovers (done by me cause I wanted practice for my new job), a group picture taken of us dressed in saloon girl outfits and printed out in the old sepia look, talking, laughing, tears, card game till the wee hours. IT WAS AMAZING!!! So thanks girls and sis for not letting anything interfere with OUR weekend. I will never forget it!

Got my baby, I mean my son, (sorry, but you will always be momma's baby) moved to his college. We had a great time. I went to church where he and his friends' band played one more time together before going their separate ways as they start their adult lives at college. I, of course, had camera in hand to record those precious moments. My last child is on his own now. Seems like just yesterday that he and his older sisters were just babes. You dream about your children and what they will be when they grow up, but it still is such a bittersweet moment when they no longer need you in their everyday lives anymore! Weston gave me a hug and kissed me on the top of the head then turned me towards my car and said I could cry now. And believe you me, I DID!!! OK, now I am crying again as I type this. Ah, well...

Anyway, that was the gist of my summer! I hope you each had a good one also! I also worked on designing some more scrapbook kits that I will be sharing with you very soon.

Graduation Collage LO and a FREEBIE QP!

Weston's High School graduation was on Mother's Day! I made a layout (collage) with only the photos I took. I thought I would let all the photos do the talking on this page! And who could be more proud of a graduate than his parents!! His dad and step-mom are in the top right photo and his step-father and I in the one below that. Weston, as Senior Class President, led the pledge to the flag and made the presentation of the class gift to the school (middle left photo). The bottom pic shows the entire class seated in the gymnasium. I put a dark circle around his head in the front row (far right).

You know, once upon a time, when he was in Jr. High and getting ready to go to high school he said he would never be able to live up to the legacy that both of his sisters left behind. They got good grades, were popular, etc. I told him then that he would find a way to leave his own legacy and to quit trying to "live up to" his sisters. Well, I am proud to report that he did leave his own mark on the school. I have 3 wonderful children that each did well in school and ALL 3 will be studying college courses this fall. Jennifer is studying to get her Bachelor's Degree (yeay Jen for not giving up on your education, you are an inspiration). Traci is continuing her education to get her Master's Degree and now Weston will be starting college!!! WOW!

A New Layout

I made a new layout to honor my wonderful sister, Denise, for Mother's Day. She was and still is one of the best mother's I have ever known. She and Nicole were not only mother and daughter, but also best friends. Nicole joined Jesus in heaven in April of 2007 at the age of 21. Denise works hard at keeping her daughter's memory alive and well. She has stayed busy with organizing events to raise money for the Nicole Allen Foundation that will fund scholarships to college students studying art and photography. Nicole was a talented, up-and-coming photographer and left so many friends and loved ones behind that make sure her candle burns bright! I love you Sis! Happy Mother's Day!

What A Busy Week It Was!

Sorry I haven't blogged in awhile. This past week was a flurry of activity for me! My youngest, Weston, graduated from high school on Mother's Day. I spent the week leading up to it making a slide show presentation for his graduation party. It was over 20 minutes long and each clip showed for only 3 seconds. Needless to say, that was a lot of pictures I cropped and applied the transitions and effects to. I also put music to it.

So Saturday we headed to Kansas City to celebrate my husband's brother and sister-in-law's 25th wedding anniversary. Congratulations Brian and Lynn on 25 years of marriage! Then we went to his mother's home afterwards. My husband planted tomato plants for her so she could enjoy some fresh garden tomatoes this year. She had mentioned several times to us that it sure must be nice to have those wonderful tomatoes from our own garden, so he made sure that Mom would have her own. We stayed all night with her Saturday night and then left there on Sunday morning to go to graduation.

On Monday I CRASHED and didn't even want to get on my computer (I know, it's VERY hard to believe that!). Hopefully now things will get back to normal (whatever that is) and I can get back to designing and scrapping lots of graduation pictures.

Our puppy, Roxy, is still very much a puppy and quite a challenge. She is very smart and learns quickly. However, it is hard being good when you are only 3 months old! Just like a kid she has to see if she can push the envelope on rules.

Spring Has Sprung

It has been cool but sunny here. We got our first tomato plants in the ground but then had to cover them up for fear of frost getting them last night. We did the same last year and they came out okay so I'm hoping these will too. It's hard to believe that it is almost May. I love this time of the year so much. The dogwood and redbud trees are blooming and everything looks so pretty!

I've been trying to get some spring cleaning done but it seems like I'm just spinning my wheels. Our new pup, Roxy, takes up so much of my time. She's just like having a two year old toddler around. She's always wanting attention, food, or to go to the bathroom. Of course watching to see what she is chewing on (whether it's an approved toy or NOT) is a constant concern. She was supposed to be my husband's truck buddy on the road, but he wasn't able to give her the attention she needed so she came home for me to train. He said her bladder was smaller than mine...LOL...and couldn't just pull over every time she needed to go.

Amazing Weekend!

My son, Weston, was in the high school play this weekend. It was called "Courage and Love: The George and Erika Mandler Story". It was written and directed by Lisa Rule. Weston was privileged to play the part of Dr. George Mandler and did an amazing job! ALL the students gave an outstanding performance! George and Erika are survivors of the Nazi Holocaust. They were imprisoned in Camp Novaky in 1942 in Czecheslovakia and underwent horrible attrocities during their ordeal. George was a doctor in the camp that Erika and her family were sent to. They fell in love and were able to escape along with Erika's brother. They eventually were able to make it to the United States in 1949 and he set up his medical practice in Chillicothe, Missouri. He doctored my grandparents and mother before his retirement.

George has passed away but Erika and their daughter, Camille, were at each and every performance these young people gave. Not a dry eye was in the place at the end of the four, 3-hour performances. She is an amazing woman and I pray that the message of acceptance of diversity wasn't lost on anyone. The play received attention of many towns around Missouri. People were bussed in from as far away as Kansas City (100 miles away) and St. Joseph (80 miles away). The auditorium was packed at every performance! Keep in mind that Chillicothe has a population of just under 10,000.

The lobby was set up with pictures of Erika, George, and their families. Banners were also displayed to help give everyone an ideal of the magnitude of the number of people who lost their lives so horribly.

Thank you, Lisa, for writing and directing this incredible, remarkable, never-to-forget drama of courage, love, and hope that doesn't die!

First Blog Entry

The weather here has been crazy! Thought we were actually going to get spring. I mowed for the first time this past Monday on a bright and beautiful spring day. It rained all week and today, everyone is wearing their winter coats again. We even have freeze warnings out for this weekend! Enough!! Bring back the sun, warmth, flowers, budding trees! Okay, now I've whined enough.

I am going to see my family this weekend. A four hour trip that is definitely worth it! My son, Weston, has the lead male role in his high school play this weekend. This is not your typical comedy or musical though. The play is about Dr. George and Erica Mandler's survival story during the holocaust. Guaranteed to be a tear-jerker! Weston told me to make sure you bring some kleenex! It is 3 hours long also. I can't wait to see it and write more about it afterwards.
